Francisco Edísio de Macedo Filho
Brazilian Army soldier · Theologian · Writer · Catholic
Born in Fortaleza, Ceará, Francisco Edísio de Macedo Filho built an important part of his professional career in the Brazilian Army.
In 2021, during a military course in Rio Grande do Sul, he contracted COVID-19 and faced an extremely severe respiratory condition.
After 19 days in an induced coma, he began a long journey of recovery, marked by surgeries, treatments and physical and emotional challenges.
His experience of faith and survival inspired him to write Memórias do Coma — a work that brings together autobiographical events, spiritual experiences, family memories and reflections on life.
